Stockholm's best...

things to do

Stockholm is, without a doubt, one of the loveliest capital cities you're ever likely to visit. We're putting together a list of our must-see things to see and do when you're here!

  straightometerREAL City Network Ltd

Real City Network is the not-for-profit organisation behind REALStockholm and the rest of the largest network of LGBT sites in the world... we're working hard to ensure that everything is kept up to date, but we're always very happy to hear from anyone who'd like to contribute to the site... photographers, journalists, community groups... get in touch! Businesses who'd like to support the site by becoming business members are especially welcome of course!

  straightometerStockholm Pride

Stockholm Pride is one of the largest festivals in the city and seems to be growing year on year. The city hosted EuroPride in 2008 which brought the international spotlight onto what was already the largest pride celebration in the Nordic region. The festival offers a parade, a park event and plenty of cultural events over the festival period. It's entirely not-for-profit and through its Solidarity fund it makes donations to other pride events around the world... which we think is all rather fabulous!

  straightometerMalar Paviljongen

Undoubtedly the coolest place to hang out in the city, Malar Paviljongen is a floating bar/restaurant/café with plenty of style. If the weather's remotely warm then the place will be absolutely packed with gorgeousness - standing room only. There's no booking, so plan to hang out a bit for a drink or two if you're going there to eat. REALStockholm has had the pleasure of having a bite to eat here and can very heartily recommend it... the food is first class.

  straightometerTorget

If, like us, you find yourself in Stockholm and in need of a swish, sumptuous and rather fabulous place for a bite to eat... then point yourself in the direction of Torget. Stylish decor and great food, but also a lovely bar too - with a gay/mixed clientele. Open Monday-Friday 4pm-1am, Sat and Sun from 1pm-1am (with brunch on offer from 1pm to 5pm).
